For those who haven't heard, it appears that a late development version of Crysis 2 has been leaked on illegal torrent websites.
Crytek are going to be so fucking mad.
This is a hard blow for game developer Crytek, they are nearly ready for release and this will surely have an impact on their profit at launch time.

Wow, that's ridiculous. I just don't comprehend why someone would do that, especially with an unfinished game. I definitely still plan on buying it. Crytek deserves my money for making one hell of a game.
I would like to get my hands on cryengine 3, the game it self i will buy when it comes out
the same thing happened to black ops on xbox360, somebody literly stole a copy from the factory IIRC

I actually was torrenting this earlier then decided not to since its only DX9, I'll just wait till its out I guess, perhaps the demo will give me the DX11 I'm searching for before I pass judgment.
It's just a debugging beta, and a horrible mistake. Someones life at crytek is over, that's for sure.

It's likely to be nearly the same as the finished product so I doubt there's any "experience" that would be lost, although Crytek would be smart to include some new features in the retail game.

There's plenty to lose as far as NON-FINISHED game, I only wanted to get a peek at it, like I said, DX9, Debug mode. I wouldn't be surprised if it was absolutely the crappiest thing ever.

Well sure, it's technically not finished, but it's 99% of the way there. You can nitpick about that 1% that is missing but it's pretty much the game that you'll be buying in stores.

Sounds like they're trying to play it off as a really buggy and unfinished version of the game, but I read that the leaked build is from early January, so it can't be too far off from current builds of the game.

Im Pretty impressed by how fast its running on the persons pc but then again its dx 9.The Motion blur Looks over exaggerated but thats understandable and the sound problem but the final game will probably eliminate those problems :). Thnks for putting the gameplay up though i was wondering how the game was going to look like :)
I got so mad watching those videos....I really didn't think it was possible to be so bad at video games like Crysis.
AND I HATED CRYSIS.
Something really similar happened to Half Life 2, however Valve instead improved Half Life 2 alot even if their morales became low. Very unfortunate for Crytek either way.
Remember when they stole Half Life from Valve and the gaming community banded together and helped catch the thief.
I think this is terrible and I hope they catch the SCUMBAG that did it!!
I will be buying the game on launch and will not download the torrent so it doesn't destroy the game for me.
I still dont understand how unreleased games can "leak" onto the internet. Who uploads it? How has anyone got a hold on it? I would have thought Crytek would somehow be able to stop these things from happening.

Well it could be a person from Crytek or a Crytek employee's close contact might've leaked it.
Either way, I'll just buy the final one and it'll be shit afterwards.

The game looks great overall, I already have the game preordered. I'm sure people are still gonna buy this game regardless of this leak.

I see nothing wrong in pirating a crappy game like CoD Mw2 or CoD BO. Those games shall not be bought! (seriously.. It is not worth it. I have them both tho... -_-")
It's a lesson to the developers, to stop making crappy games.
Finished playing through the entire Crysis 2 single-player campaign just now, kinda buggy, but it was playable, better than the first game IMO in terms of story and fun factor, looks great too, don't worry, i won't spoil. Next up, to buy the game in order to play the game in a more polished form, not to mention the multi-player.
